Important Note: The careers feature in frankli has been released in preview beta mode to a limited subset of customers. These final help articles and the full feature will be updated and released publicly over the coming weeks.

Before launching into career pathways and rolling this out to your entire organisation, it's good to consider any setup or prerequisites that will make the roll-out a complete success.

We acknowledge that no two companies are the same, so this article is designed more as a guide with a list of recommendations and considerations before launch.

Manage Competencies

If competencies feature in your business, we recommend you review and update your competency libraries before launching Career pathways, as they feature heavily throughout.

You can learn more about competency setup here.

Manage Skills

If Skills feature in your business, we recommend you review and update your skills list before launching Career pathways, as they feature heavily throughout.

We also encourage all employees to review and update their current skills as populated on their profile in Frankli.

Manage roles

Roles are the main component at the centre of career pathways and career development. It's essential to spend some time reviewing all the active roles within your organisation ahead of launching Career Pathways.

You can learn all about setting up and administering roles here.

Note The more detail you can add to roles as part of the set-up in terms of role descriptions, associated skills, competencies and departments, the better. Time setting this up correctly will make for a smooth transition and fewer employee questions once Career Pathways goes live. It also helps inform decision-makers and reviewers of role applications when people apply for a promotion or change in role.
