What's the Difference Between Open and Sequenced Review Cycles?

A brief explanation of the different types of Review Cycle

Updated over 2 years ago

When setting up a Review Cycle, you'll be asked to choose between creating an Open or a Sequenced cycle.

Open Cycles

In an open cycle, all the steps you have selected will run at the same time. This allows the participants to update their reviews in real-time during the review period.

Sequenced Cycles

In a sequenced cycle, the steps will run in a set order and cannot overlap. When a participant has finished the active step, they can then move on to the next one.

Note: Any Review Cycles that existed before Open Review Cycles were enabled in Frankli are Sequenced Review Cycles by default.
