What happens if a manager is changed during an ongoing review cycle?

Sometimes, an employee's manager changes mid-way through an evaluation cycle.

This scenario is handled differently depending on whether the previous manager had already completed their manager review of the employee.

  1. If the previous manager had not completed their review 📝

    • Any in-progress or draft review from the old manager is discarded.

    • A new manager review request is created for the new manager. The new manager becomes responsible for completing the manager review, which will be found under 'My reviews' > 'Manager reviews'

2. If the previous manager had already completed their review :

  • The completed review is preserved.

  • The new manager does not receive a new request to complete a review.

  • The new manager can view the old manager’s completed review under 'Team Reviews' for the employee by clicking the eye icon under 'actions'


    Note: This completed review will not appear under 'My Reviews' > 'Manager reviews' for the new manager. It must be accessed from 'Team reviews'
