Note: In order to use this feature, it must first be enabled by the Admin.
Linking Tasks to a Goal allows you to track what needs to be done in order to complete the Goal.
Anybody can be assigned as a Task Owner. You don’t have to be a Goal Owner to be a Task Owner.
When the status of a Task is changed, it does not affect the Goal's completion percentage.
Linking a Task to a Goal
There are multiple ways to link a task to a goal.
You can create a new task during goal creation:
1. Select Goal Create and begin to create your Goal
2. Select Associated Tasks
3. Select Add Task
4. Fill out the required form
5. Continue creating your Goal and select Create when finished
You can create a new task, and link it to an existing goal:
1. Select Tasks from the sidebar
2. Select Create a Task and begin to create your Task
3. Select Add Task
4. Select Alignment
5. Select Goal
6. Use the search bar under Align to a Goal to search for an existing goal
7. Select the desired goal
8. Continue creating your Task and select Create when finished
You can link an existing task to an existing goal:
1. Select Tasks from the sidebar
2. Select the Edit Task action next to your desired task
3. Under Alignment, select Goal
6. Use the search bar under Align to a Goal to search for an existing goal
7. Select the desired goal
8. Continue editing your Task and select Update when finished
Where Can I See the Tasks Associated with a Goal?
You can see any tasks you have aligned with a goal from the goal view.
From here, you can:
Change the task status
Edit the task
Unlink it from the Goal
Create a new aligned task
Simply hover over the Task's due date on the right to reveal the action icons.
