How to align Goals with other Goals across different Goal Types

It's possible to align Goals with other Goals across different Goal Types, for example, to align a Team Goal with a Company Goal.

This means that the selected Goal drives the progress of the Goal it's aligned with.

Goals naturally align with Goals from higher-level Goal Types, so your options when aligning Goals reflect this.

Which Goals can Different Goal Types be Aligned with?

Personal Developmental

Personal developmental Goals can be aligned with the following Goal Types:

  • Team

  • Department

  • Site

  • Company

Personal Operational

Personal operational Goals can be aligned with the following Goal Types:

  • Team

  • Department

  • Site

  • Company

Team

Team Goals can be aligned with the following Goal Types:

  • Department

  • Site

  • Company

Department

Department Goals can be aligned with the following Goal Types:

  • Department

  • Site

  • Company

Site Goals

Personal developmental Goals can be aligned with the following Goal Types:

  • Department

  • Company

Company

You cannot align company Goals to any other Goals, as these are the top-level goals in the company.

How do I Align a Goal?

You can align Goals during the goal creation process.

1. Select Goal Create and start to create your goal

2. Select a goal by selecting the Alignment dropdown and searching for your desired goal

You can also align Goals by editing an existing Goal.

1. Select the Goal you would like to edit

2. Select Edit in the top right corner

3. Use the search bar under Goal Aligned With to find your desired Goal

4. Select your desired Goal

5. Select Save Changes
