How to Recreate Calendar Events After a Sync Disconnection

Resolve sync issues between Frankli and your calendar by using the "Recreate Calendar Events" button to re-synchronise your 1:1 meetings.

At Frankli, we understand the importance of keeping your 1:1 meetings seamlessly synchronised with your calendar. Our platform integrates directly with your calendar via SSO login, ensuring that when you set up a 1:1 meeting through Frankli, it is automatically added to your calendar. You can then manage these meetings either through your calendar or through Frankli.

However, from time to time, this sync can become disconnected due to various reasons, causing dates, times, meeting links, and other details to become out of sync. While we are continuously working to improve this process, we want to ensure you know how to quickly and effectively resolve any issues should they arise.

While we strive to fix these automatically it's not always possible as we have limited access to your calendar.

Identifying a Sync Disconnection

You might notice a sync disconnection if:

  • Changes made to meeting times in Frankli are not reflected in your calendar.

  • Changes made to meeting times on your calendar are not reflected in Frankli.

  • Meeting links in your calendar are incorrect or missing.

  • Meetings appear in Frankli but not in your calendar, or vice versa.

  • Duplicate meetings appearing in your calendar

Before proceeding, please log out of Frankli and log back in to refresh your access token. Delete any calendar events or series that show errors, then recreate all calendar events for the affected schedules.

Steps to Recreate Calendar Events

To help you get back on track, we have added a "Recreate Calendar Events" button to the main page of your 1:1 meetings. This button allows you to reestablish the connection between Frankli and your calendar.

Follow these steps to recreate your calendar events:

  1. Navigate to the 1:1 Meetings Page

    • Log in to your Frankli account.

    • Go to the main page of your 1:1 meetings.

  2. Locate the "Recreate Calendar Events" Button

    • You will find the "Recreate Calendar Events" button prominently displayed on the main 1:1 meetings page.

  3. Click the "Recreate Calendar Events" Button

    • Click the button to initiate the resynchronisation process & click confirm.

  4. Confirmation and Resync

    • You will notice a loading spinner on the righthand side indicating that the resynchronisation process has begun.

    • Allow a few moments for the system to recreate the events in your calendar a message will appear in the top right of your screen once completed.

  5. Verify the Sync

    • After a few minutes, check your calendar to ensure that all 1:1 meetings are correctly updated.

    • If you notice any discrepancies, refresh your calendar or contact Frankli support for further assistance.

Tips for Maintaining Sync

  • Regularly check your calendar: Ensure your calendar reflects the correct meeting times and links.

  • Keep your SSO credentials up-to-date: Any changes in your SSO login credentials should be updated promptly in Frankli to avoid sync issues.

  • Report issues promptly: If you encounter any sync issues, report them to Frankli support for a quick resolution.
